Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator III / BORC

Summary

Responsible for technical and skilled work in the operation of a computer-controlled wastewater plant. The operator monitors SCADA systems and ensures hydraulic and chemical principles are applied correctly to treatment processes.

Wastewater Responsibilities

- Monitor SCADA control panels and adjust plant components remotely. - Oversee chemical dosage and application for wastewater stabilization. - Prepare regulatory reports for state and federal compliance. - Direct the work of lower-level operators when assigned as Backup Operator in Responsible Charge (BORC).

Qualifications

- High School Diploma supplemented by technical coursework. - North Carolina Grade III Wastewater Treatment Operator Certificate. - Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical principles related to wastewater plants. - Valid driver's license.
