HASI Announces Investment in Wastewater Infrastructure Facility
HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital, Inc. (HASI) has closed a structured equity investment in the Pasco Resource Recovery Center in Washington. The facility utilizes anaerobic digestion to treat wastewater and recycle over one billion gallons of water annually.
HASI, an investor in sustainable infrastructure, announced a new investment in the Pasco Resource Recovery Center. The facility, developed and operated by Burnham, provides essential wastewater treatment and reuse services for seven industrial food-processing plants in Pasco, Washington.
The Pasco Center employs anaerobic digestion technology to break down organic matter within the wastewater stream. This process allows the facility to recycle more than one billion gallons of water each year, significantly reducing the demand on local water resources.
This investment highlights the growing trend of private capital supporting sustainable wastewater treatment and water reuse projects. The partnership aims to enhance the operational capabilities of the facility while promoting environmental sustainability in the region.
